Diversity Ball

Since 2008, "equalizent" has organized the annual Diversity Ball, a unique festival of joie de vivre and respect for human colorfulness and diversity. Many LGBT people in all their different communities come together for a rousing night at the ball in the Kursalon Wien, as a sign of the colorful nature of society, for tolerance, accessibility and mutual respect.

Vienna Boylesque Festival

Vienna Fetish Spring


The organizers of "Vienna in Black" also become active each year in the spring: the "Vienna Fetish Spring" festival is held each year around Corpus Christi. Numerous fetish events - including the election of "Mr. Leather Austria" - will be on the program.

Life Ball


The star-studded AIDS-charity event is the most spectacular queer party in Europe and it raises close to a million euros each year for HIV projects. From Federal Chancellor to Hollywood star, they all come to watch the fashion show by one of the world’s super-designers on City Hall Square and to dance the night away. Tickets for the Life Ball are as precious as gold, but the fashion show is free for everyone. This year's motto: "The Sound of Music".

EuroPride 2019

June 1-16, 2019

For two weeks, information, discussion and cultural events and parties will make Vienna the center of the European LGBT community: EuroPride Run, Pride Beach, Pride Day at the zoo, Pride guided tours of museums and a EuroPride pool day at the Schönbrunner Bad are just a few of the events planned. The Pride Village on City Hall Square and a Pride Park (probably in Sigmund Freud Park) will be the meeting places of the EuroPride community. The highlight of the celebrations will be the Rainbow Parade on the Ringstrasse boulevard on June 15, 2019. More than one million visitors are expected in Vienna for EuroPride 2019. www.europride2019.at

Almost a whole week is dedicated to fetish at the end of October: Vienna Fetish Week turns Vienna into a center for fetish fans.
