Vienna’s Queer Ball Season

The Rainbow Ball has established itself permanently on the ball calendar as a classic Viennese ball for gays and lesbians, and will be held for the fifteenth time in 2012 - this time in the freshly renovated Parkhotel Schönbrunn.

The Rosenball is the only event that remains true to the classic Viennese ball format, opening with a traditional Polonaise. However, this ball at the Palais Auersperg provides an upbeat disco alternative to the Opera Ball, which takes place on the same night at the State Opera House.

The Kreativball has come a long way since its low-profile beginnings - you have to be quick these days because this event for gays and lesbians and their friends sells out weeks in advance!
