Taxis in Vienna

You want to get somewhere fast? No problem in Vienna: if you don't want to use the underground, streetcars, or busses with the Vienna Card - with which you can use these public conveyances for 72 hours as well as make use of the many discounts in museums, restaurants and stores; starting at 18.50 Euro - then simply call a taxi.

Tel. 60160
Tel. 40100
Tel. 31300

For journeys to / from the airport, please ask for the airport tariffs. Alternatively, call the C & K Airport Service (tel. 444 44) or the company Airportdriver (tel. 22 8 22). Special services such as Taxi and Sightseeing and a taxi for the hard of hearing, which can be ordered by fax on 408 15 25-848, are also available, as is an Austria-wide taxi service on tel. 1718.

The phone numbers of individual taxi stands can be found here, and Viennese taxi rates can also be found on the Internet...

There are currently around 150 eco-friendly cars with hybrid or natural gas-powered engines on Vienna's roads. You can order such a taxi by dialing "40100" and asking for a "Green Taxi", environmental or eco-taxi. You can identify your taxi by the "Green Taxi" sign. The good news: There is no difference in price over a ride in a conventional taxi.

FAXI – The Bicycle Taxi (Pedicabs )

One ecologically sound means of transport in Vienna is the bicycle taxi. In three-wheeled bicycle rickshaws, two persons (including hand luggage) can explore the city. The canopy of the vehicles protects the passengers from sun and rain. More information at www.faxi.at

Bon voyage!
