EuroGames 2024 in Vienna
Around 4,000 LGBT athletes from all over the world will compete for medals in some 35 sports in Vienna between July 17 and 20, 2024. Vienna is hosting the EuroGames for the very first time. Its motto is ‘Embrace Diversity.’ The innovation of these games is the aim of reducing male dominance in sport. Women, trans*, inter* and non-binary people are particularly welcome this year.
This is why some of the sports will also be played without gender restrictions. These include bowling, bridge, minigolf and squash. Two sport categories are even aimed specifically at women and non-binary people: martial arts and roller derby. No fewer than seven new disciplines will be making their debut at the EuroGames in Vienna: darts, flag football, padel, racketlon, roller derby, roundnet and table soccer. The competitions will be held in more than 20 locations across Vienna. The EuroGames have been organized as a Green Event.
