The Rueff Dance School is located in the old center of the city, right behind City Hall (Rathaus). For visitors to Vienna, it offers waltz lessons at fixed times several days the week (you can also pass by just for one lesson):
No more looking on from the edge of the ballroom as others dance – joining in is mandatory!
In addition to the basis of the waltz, Rueff also teaches the basic steps of the dizzying polka. The waltz lessons are held in German and English, in other languages by prior arrangement - for instance Japanese, Russian, and so on.
Each lesson costs 46 Euros per couple. You can leave your ball gown at home or in your hotel room, comfortable leisure wear is entirely sufficient, but be sure to wear shoes with smooth soles.
For couples, prior reservation is not necessary -- just stop by and join in! (If you are interested, but do not have a dancing partner, please get in contact with the Rueff dance school in advance).
Tip for advanced dancers: On several evenings in the week you can join in dancing nights for practising. Like dance parities, they are visited by all who just like to dance and include all different kind of ballroom dances.
