When you perform

From the beginning of April to the end of September, any day between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. At christmas time during the Culture and Advent Market at Schönbrunn as well as during the Easter Market (separate conditions apply for this time of the year – please contact MTS for details).

Where you perform

In front of Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna’s most visited sight. Your performance will be in the open air

• in front of Schönbrunn Palace - facing the main courtyard
• behind Schönbrunn Palace - facing the park
• In the gardens of Schönbrunn in front of the “Neptune Fountain”

Who is invited

• Choirs and vocal groups up to a maximum group size of 100 persons.
• Orchestras and instrumental groups up to a maximum group size of 50 persons.

Conditions

• There is no stage. The grand staircases of the palace, however, offer sufficient room for choir and conductor, or for an orchestra of up to 50 persons.
• Apart from a power socket, there is no technical equipment available. Equipment may be rented via MTS Agency at your own cost.
• Cancellation policy when renting equipment: up to 24 hours before the performance free of charge. Otherwise, a 100% cancellation fee applies.
• The acoustics are excellent for choirs, even without sound equipment.
• No alternative venue can be offered in case of inclement weather.
• A change of performance date is only possible by agreement with MTS Agency.
• Performances are free (no admission fee, no voluntary contributions for the group).
• You are not permitted to offer CDs or other recorded materials for sale, or to distribute information materials either before or after your appearance at Schönbrunn.
• The existing infrastructure and services of MTS Agency mentioned above will be provided at no cost to the group. MTS Agency will charge the group for any additional services.

Conditions of registration

• Overnight stay in Vienna by the group
• Classical program
• Letter of recommendation from a local cultural institute (or similar institution)

Please fill in the registration form and send it to the MTS Agency. If you require technical equipment, please inform us at the time of your registration.

Registrations will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. The organizers reserve the right to reject groups that fail to meet standards of quality and programming. In choosing a program, the classical ambience of Schönbrunn Palace should be taken into consideration.

What assistance is given

MTS Agency...

• is in charge of handling and coordinating this project, on behalf of the Vienna Tourist Board and is the sole contact for all questions as to dates, venue, rental of technical equipment etc.
• MTS Agency will welcome the groups in Schönbrunn and escort them to the place of their performance and will present a souvenir diploma.
• MTS Agency will provide photographs as a memento via e-mail and will provide contacts to incoming agencies or hotels for bookings, social program, bus transfers etc.
• MTS Agency will coordinate dates for visiting Schönbrunn Palace and will promote the performances with posters in the area of Schönbrunn Palace.

Hotel accommodations

To be able to participate in "Voices of the World", groups have to stay overnight in Vienna. A confirmation of booking must be presented to MTS Agency in time. MTS Agency will be pleased to establish contacts with Vienna hotels and incoming agencies.

This offer does not extend to organizers of festivals and music group competitions who require a different infrastructure for their performances and more than a maximum of two performances per day at Schönbrunn. Offers for such services may be submitted by MTS Agency and are subject to availability, as well as the agreement of Schönbrunn Palace.
