Dance till the sun comes up – no problem for Vienna’s club and party scene.

The Schikaneder is one of Vienna's original multi-purpose venues. Not only is it playing host to one of the city's best-loved and charmingly scruffy experimental and independent cinemas, but the Schikaneder bar right next door is a hugely popular joint for folks from all proverbial walks of life.
Broke (art) students, people who work in the creative industries and such simply enjoying a drink or two all mingle here on old comfy couches. A daily line-up of DJs plays a good mix of, well, everything (from indie-rock, pop, minimal, techno to disco and house), and every once in a while a couple of couch potatoes might even get off their bums and brave the dance floor. Then again, dancing is overrated anyway.
