It is popular for people to describe bars as an „extended living room". But in the case of Lebemann und Hirn on Gumpendorfer Straße, it's a fact. Furnished with colorfully thrown-together retro furniture, the bar exudes a particularly cozy flair. Gumpendorfer Straße has become home to numerous hip shops and bars in recent years, putting Lebemann und Hirn in the best of company.
At the front is a bar, where cocktails are served alongside local beers and wines. Further back are comfy sofas and dining tables, because food is also served at Lebemann und Hirn; sometimes, DJs from the electronic music scene can be found here, not only at the turntable, but also at the stove. The venue is also very popular for exhibitions of young artists.
