Orlando di Castello

The Orlando di Castello combines a wide range of styles. The interior furnishings are an eccentric mix of Laura Ashley, modern metal elements and lots and lots of white. Delicate floral motifs on the walls, opulent velvet sofas, like those found in palaces, and kidney-shaped, white leather stools by way of contrast.

Yet the architecture is not the only impressive aspect of Orlando di Castello. It is also one of the best breakfast places in Vienna. The espresso tastes fantastic and can also be drunk at the bar for a discount. The sweet treats, from croissants to small works of art with names such as Black Beauty, are made in the patisserie, for which Frenchman Pierre Reboul is responsible. And not to forget the breakfast in a glass, in which, for example, pickled char with beetroot caviar is offered.

But things don't stop with breakfast. Orlando di Castello is a great place to eat at any time of day. Chef Martin Pirker brings New York flair to the plate with excellent steaks, pasta dishes and the obligatory Caesar's salad. In summer, everything is available in the guest garden on Freyung.
