Buskers Festival
For a whole weekend in the middle of September, Karlsplatz belongs to the street artists. Around 30 artists' groups present their wide-ranging repertoires at the free open-air spectacle. Musicians and drummers perform, as do fire artists, acrobat, pantomimes, jugglers and magicians. There is also street art, break-dance and performances, as well as a special program for children.
Of course, food stands are an essential feature of the open-air festival. When things quiet down on Karlsplatz at night, the party continues in several Viennese clubs at the Buskers after-parties: on 14 September at Ost Klub, Club U, Sass and The Loft, on 15 September at Club U and Ost Klub.

Guiding system for the visually impaired with special "leading stones" (grooves and knobs), which can be felt with canes or feet - for the passage between the individual artistic institutions on Karlsplatz (e.g. Künstlerhaus, Musikverein) and for crossing the Friedrichstrasse-Lothringerstrasse intersection (which has heavy traffic), the traffic lights have audible signals.
